  • legumes
  • pears

  • cereals
  • grapefruit
  • soups
  • beef
  • tofu
  • green tea
  • olive oil
  • cinnamon
  • vinegar
  • red pepper

The author of one of such lists promises that your weight loss process will go easily and quickly, if you compose your diet menu only of these products. But a real nutritionist will be horrified when he sees this set of products.

In fact, products that contribute to weight loss do not exist in nature. Alas, but it is the harsh reality. The law of energy conservation has not been canceled yet! As long as you consume more calories than you spend, you will not see any weight loss. Well, except that you lose five kilograms by draining excess fluid.

The real weight loss process begins only when the energy expenditure exceeds the number of calories that come into your body with food. That is, you need to eat less and to move more. And you will achieve your goal!

Well, those who seriously decided to take on themselves do need products for weight loss, and we have prepared an impressive list of products for weight loss. Strictly speaking, these are products that make up a normal, balanced diet.

Products for weight loss

The body, used to the right food, will gladly part with the extra kilograms. The most important thig is not to expect that you can consume the “right” foods in any amounts. Fanaticism rarely leads to good. So, let’s get started.


Low-calorie foods for weight loss (not to be confused with fat-free!) are good for those, who can not immediately abandon large portions. By making up your menu mainly of low-calorie foods, you automatically reduce the intake of extra calories, which have a bad habit of being stored in the “treasury”. Such products include:

  • greens and vegetables,
  • almost all fruits and berries (except very sweet, like banana, melon or grapes),
  • lean fish and meat,
  • pork and beef offals,
  • dairy products with a reduced fat content

You should not refrain from fat completely. This is fraught with serious disabilities in the body, so when it comes to buying dairy products, choose the ones with a reduced fat content, rather than those completely defatted.

Vegetables, fruits and berries, which form the main part of low-calorie products for weight loss, among other things, charge our body with vitamins (provided that you eat them fresh), and also have a number of very useful properties.

  • Grapefruit provides a diuretic effect and positively affects the vessels, destroying cholesterol plaques and increasing the amount of “good” cholesterol in the blood.
  • Tomatoes cause the release of the hormone cholecystokinin, which causes satiety and controls appetite.
  • Eggplants have the property of accumulating manganese – a mineral, which is very useful for slimmers.
  • Garlic, just as other spices with a pronounced flavor and aroma, enhances the sense of pleasure from eating and accelerate the sense of satiety.
  • Cauliflower and broccoli are the record holders for the content of vitamins andmicroelements, and contain fiber, which is so useful for slimmers.


At first glance, everything is simple with this matter – we remove all fat from the diet, and that’s it. But, once you take a closer look at this problem, lots of questions arise. For example, the traditional way to reduce caloric content – reducing the amount of fat in the diet – can result in many troubles, because fats:

Omega-9 fats

  • olive oil, rapeseed oil,  peanut oil, sesame oil,
  • avocados,
  • sesame seeds,
  • olives, nuts

Omega-6 fats

  • corn oil, soybean oil,
  • sunflower oil,
  • pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, walnuts, tofu

Omega-3 fats

  • fatty sea fish,
  • caviar

Saturated fats

  • butter, cheese, milk, meat,
  • egg yolks,
  • palm oil,
  • coconut oil

Do not refuse saturated fats for good. They are also useful in their own way and are necessary for our body. Just reduce the amount of animal fats in favor of vegetable fats. Use a variety of vegetable oils, preferring unrefined varieties, and eat sea fish more often.


Along with products that have a low calorie count, foods that do not cause blood sugar jumps are also very important for weight loss. This refers to the so-called glycemic (or diabetic) index – the index of the rate of food conversion, which shows how quickly the food that enters the body turns into glucose. All products can be divided into three groups:

  1. with a low glycemic index,
  2. with a medium glycemic index,
  3. with a high glycemic index.

Products with a low glycemic index slowly increase the level of sugar in the blood, allowing you to stock up energy for a long time. This means that the consumption of such products will gradually wean you of grabbing and chewing something on the run, which is harmful for your figure. Because you will not be hungry!

More often, include in your menu:


all types of cabbage, greens, eggplant and mushrooms, pumpkin, legumes

peanuts, pistachios, almonds and walnuts, as well as sunflower and pumpkin seeds

Products with a low glycemic index are best consumed:

  • for breakfast, to charge you body with energy for almost the entire day,
  • for dinner, so that you don’t get the desire to explore the fridge for a sandwich with a cup of tea while sitting in front of the TV or monitor.


Everyone knows that proteins are the building blocks for cells in our body. Moreover, the absolute majority of us are sure that meat contains the best, high-grade protein, and almost completely ignore fish, beans, milk and other protein sources. In vain!

The quality of food proteins is estimated by the coefficient of their assimilation. This takes into account the amino acid composition (i.e. chemical value) and the completeness of digestion (or biological value). According to the WHO, products that have an assimilation factor of 1.0 are the most valuable sources of protein. For example, according to studies,

Bran also contributes to the normal intestines function, cleansing it. Mix 1-2 tbsp. of bran with a glass of boiling water, let it sit half an hour and drink. You can add bran to pastries, casseroles and cereals.
